Under the Scheduled Caste Housing Scheme, an amount of Rs 24000/- is provided to the students living in a rented house for one year.

MP Scholarship Awas Yojana Eligibility :-

The form of housing assistance scheme is only for the students of SC and ST category of Madhya Pradesh.

Such students, after passing class 12th, are regularly admitted in graduate / post graduate / all high level courses of government and recognized non-government colleges / universities / other institutions and who have not got admission in any government hostel, such student housing assistance will be eligible.
The eligibility of housing assistance to the student will not be on the basis of the headquarter of the institution studying but on the basis of the headquarters of the residence on rent.
All the scheduled caste and scheduled tribe girls admitted through the selection process in the pre-examination training center will be eligible to get the housing assistance amount under this scheme till the regular hostel operation starts.
The scheme will be eligible only if the original residence of the college institution or student is not located in the geographical limit of the same local body (urban body / village panchayat).
There will be no other distance binding. The amount of rent in excess of the prescribed accommodation assistance will have to be borne by the students themselves.
Apart from housing assistance, any other facility will be given by the department for housing. Students will be ineligible for this scheme in the coming year if they fail or if the result is postponed.
All the children of the same parent will be eligible separately for this scheme.
Students who have filled the Post Metric Scholarship Form are eligible to fill the Vidyarthi Awas Yojana Scholarship Form.
